Fortius Fitness Core Philosophy

The word ‘fortius’ is Latin for strong(er). In ancient, classical Latin, the term has moral and physical components. Truly strong individuals possess more than mere physical endurance, stamina and raw muscle power. They also possess and cultivate moral endurance; steadfastness, dedication and discipline.

Strength is the foundation for everything in life and is the core of Fortius Fitness. Have Strength and mind-blowing willpower, self-esteem and health will follow while pursuing a (very) lean and toned or muscular body with the look that is perfect for YOU – the natural way.

Getting results in fitness takes hard (SMART) work and most importantly it takes action, commitment and consistency.

I may lose some readers when I say that it takes hard work – that’s okay, this site is not for people that are cutting corners, taking steroids or looking for a quick fix. This site is for serious people who want quality advice and are ready to do hard SMART work and take action for massive results and success. Steroids, other drugs or laziness just don’t fit into that picture.

In short; the advice is designed to get you fit in the shortest amount of time the most human way possible, allowing you to skip the learning curve and going through any trial and error process: I’ve done it for you!

Who Is Kasper

My name is Kasper V. Christensen – Founder of Fortius Fitness.

My passion for training and nutrition has resulted in a lifelong career in fitness. I have helped more than 10000 clients from all walks of life reach their goals, achieve good health, discover the joy of training, get fit and enjoy a healthy and active lifestyle.

I have over 20 solid years of dedicated experience with training and nutrition at the highest level. I have competed seven times in fitness contests, placing in the top 5 in the symmetry round in all events. I’m the founder of multiple gyms and has been featured in various fitness magazines.

BUT, it wasn’t always like that….

My journey in fitness started 22 years ago. I was insecure because of my skinny and scrawny build. I was also a basketball player. Standing 6 foot tall and weighing impressive 128 pounds I got hammered every time I tried to drive toward the basket. So I desperately wanted to build some muscle to develop my game and hopefully become more self-confident.

I am the next Michael Jordan!

My intention as a young basketball player was to become the next Michael Jordan. While dreams and goals are very important they also have to be realistic :) Basketball was the main reason why I started with weight training.

There’s not a diet or training approach I haven’t tried. I wanted success so badly that I became my own guinea pig often going to extremes to find answers. The most idiotic thing I have ever done was force-feeding myself in an attempt to gain muscle.

The only thing I gained was fat.

While it failed me miserably to gain muscle it gave me a vital lesson in understanding how many overweight people feel. I felt horrible! Just as horrible as when I was the skinny insecure kid. All I wanted, whether being skinny or fat, was to have a lean muscular body.

Amongst other bodybuilding strategies I bulked up to gain muscle. I was told this was the only way to gain muscle. These pictures aren’t even at my heaviest; 225 pounds. I was to embarrassed to take pictures at that weight. I did this nonsense many times. Force-feeding myself with the intention of gaining more muscle mass.

The wakeup call

I had to go through many idiotic experiments before I realized that most of the advices that are pushed at us are seriously flawed. I started breaking all the traditional rules and slowly discovered that traditional forms of cardio to lose fat, eating six times per day, that breakfast is the most important meal, bulk up then cut down, cramming myself with supplements and following typical training and diet advice was doing me far more harm than good and held me hostile.

I found that I made far better progress when I stopped adhering to these rules. It took a lot of time for me to break free from them, but once I did, I never looked back.

Now, at 40, I’m in the best shape of my life and have the look I have always wanted. I maintain this condition year round with ease. It’s very important for me to lead by example; to be a role model and serve as inspiration for my clients.

The methods and strategies I teach are the results of my journey and the culmination of training more than 10,000 clients. My strategies are battle tested and have been delivering results for years and will deliver results for you, too.

I have been through it all and I see it time and time again through my daily work in gyms and from the many questions I get every day.

It’s been a long journey. Despite my skinny genetics better suited for endurance sports, I managed with the right mindset, correct training and nutrition practices to get voted with one of the best bodies in Denmark.
