Adriana Lima Workout: Excessive Preparation for Angel Walks!
Is it necessary for the Adriana Lima workout to take up two-three hours a day, six days a week, for six weeks straight, just to prepare to walk down a runway in lingerie? Well, apparently the 5-10 Brazilian beauty thinks so.

The Adriana Lima workout takes it too far when it comes to preparing for the Victoria Secret shows.
Now, it’s one thing if Adriana Lima allows herself to get a little plump, and has only six weeks to knock off 20 pounds. But even then, two-three hours a day, six days a week, for six weeks is excessive, because a combination of sensible eating and the BEST KIND of fat burning exercises will snuff out 20 pounds in six weeks — in only an hour a day, even less!
The supermodel, though, does not get chubby, so what’s up with the excessive exercise?
What exercises does the Adriana Lima workout involve?
Boxing is a favorite, though the Adriana Lima workout in the past has included spinning and yoga. She loves boxing, which is a high calorie burner when done rigorously. The Adriana Lima workout also includes jumping rope and bodyweight resistance exercises.
And just what are some good bodyweight resistance exercises? Squat jumps, squats, deep lunges, pushups, dips and pull-ups. I don’t know if this is what the Angel does for her exercises, but she states, “I don’t lift weights; I don’t like machines — everything I do is with my body weight.”
There are different ways to use body weight as resistance, and even if the brunette supermodel does the just-listed compound routines, the next factor to consider is intensity.
Many women do dips alright, but don’t put enough zest into them and don’t use optimal body position. As a result, they get minimal results. Same with pushups and lunges; many women go through the motions without any real fire. So to burn a lot of calories they have to do these exercises two hours a day, six days a week.
Adriana Lima workout – a better way
There is a better way! And the Adriana Lima workout is not aware of this!
We know how important it is for a Victoria’s Secret model to look lean and toned in lingerie as she struts her stuff.
Considering that Adriana Lima is already lean and toned, why must she be a slave to so much exercise for six weeks before a fashion show?
Working out 3 hours a day combined with a starvation diet is just too much and not needed to get a body like Adriana Lima.
The Adriana Lima workout needs to be revamped.
She needs to start using some weights, and to keep her lean, toned look, she should use moderate amounts of weights and should do specific compound exercises and apply fatigue management. She could keep the exercises but the added weight would make all the difference.
By making these changes, the Adriana Lima workout will get the same results in less than half the time!
I’d stick with the jump roping and boxing, as these are excellent forms of HIIT cardio.
As a minimum I’d apply progressive resistance to the bodyweight exercises and if possible start incorporating strength training with dumbbells and barbells. This way, the Adriana Lima workout won’t have to come with severe calorie restriction as the Adriana Lime diet to look fabulous on the catwalk.
