Beyonce Workout Not Enough to Rid Thunder Thighs
Can the Beyonce workout get you a body like the singer/actress? Hardly. There is nothing about the Beyonce workout that will make a woman get a shape like the singer/actress – a shape that is much desired by many women, yet at the same time, many other women would never want the thick thighs.
Beyonce Knowles’ body is envied by many because of whom she is. But this same body is seen on the streets all the time, and in that context, is not so much desired. How many women really want thick thighs?
The Beyonce workout is not why she’s shaped the way she is.
The star gets that shape basically from her natural structure, with some help from regular exercise; she’s certainly not flabby or mushy looking, and shows some abdominal definition. It’s obvious that she works out.
The Beyonce workout consists of cardio, weights and some yoga.
Specifically, Beyonce dances, and also runs in the form of intervals. I don’t know if this is high intensity interval training, or just plain interval training, but she’s reported to have stated: “…you burn more calories that way.” She lifts with light weights. And therein lays the problem.
The Beyonce workout needs heavier weights.
She works out five days a week, doing cardio for 30 minutes, followed by light weights for around 45 minutes. This kind of regimen will not trim down the heavy thighs.
I won’t assume that this mega star wouldn’t care to lose some volume in those thighs. Her size seems to fluctuate in photos, too. Sometimes the thighs don’t look THAT big. And in other photos, man, they are huge; out of proportion with the rest of her toned body.
The light weights won’t cut it. With the strength training, she needs to do mostly compound exercises and ease up on the isolation exercises. This approach will result in more burned fat.
Next, the Beyonce workout needs to replace the light weights with moderate to heavy ones. And before you assume this will bulk up her thighs, it will actually trim them because heavier resistance will force her body to burn more fat.
The result will be more LEAN muscle in her legs, but the size will be SMALLER. Heavy training doing squats, leg presses and several other key compound movements will get her out of the rut of maintenance she’s in, and progress her into a fat-burning mode, making the thighs shrink.
Light weight workouts won’t slash overall body fat percentage, which is what the singer needs to do in order to rip the excess fat out of her thighs.
I think that maybe the Beyonce workout is void of heavy training because she’s fallen victim to the myth that heavy weights will bulk up a woman’s thighs. This is SO wrong on so many levels. Obviously, the Beyonce workout has failed to lean out her legs; it’s time for her to make some changes to stop her fluctuations in weight.
Take away from the Beyonce workout video: It’s all in the diet! There are superior training methods than those presented in this video. And that is why Beyonce is not able to keep her figure year round.
