How to get in shape fast – WHY are you doing this the hard way?!
Over the course of my trainer career I have had many conversations on how to get in shape fast that have absolutely blown my mind. I am nothing short of amazed at the hoops people jump through, the money people spend, or the messes people get into when trying to build muscle, get lean or just training to stay healthy.
Newsflash: Training and nutrition and how to get in shape fast is not that complicated!
There is no big secret to having a great body. I have yet to figure out why people tend to over-complicate it, or treat it like some myth from a sci-fi movie.
The crazy thing is that people keep coming out with these complicated systems and solutions – and everybody jumps on board like its magic or something. Seriously – have we learned nothing?!
So many people are spending entirely too much time and energy, not to mention hard-earned money, trying to avoid working – Investing everything into shortcuts or strategies on how to get in shape fast, only to end up going nowhere and discouraged.
It frustrates me to no end.
How to get in shape fast without gimmicks
It’s not entirely your fault. The “experts” told you it would work. That shortcut really did seem legit. That you actually could buy health in a pill. Try this: Take a step back from all the diets, training gadgets, pills and crèmes, strategies, etc, etc, etc. Analyze what all these products have done for you. And how you went from one promising product to another. How were your results? Do you see a pattern? Another great reality check is to ask: “How would I go about getting a great looking healthy body if all these gimmicks and tricks did not exist?” Here’s an interesting tidbit for you: that is exactly what will ultimately make you accomplish results!
Which do you think will give you the results your after:
a) getting on tested program that has produced results over and over but where you have to put in the work, or
b) keep searching for the shortcut that doesn’t exist because actually doing some work for the thing you want to accomplish seems daunting to you?

The bottom line is that you will spend a lot less time and money in the long run, and get far better (ie long term) results, doing things right the first time.
How to get in shape fast – The “shortcuts
This is my 20th year in the fitness industry. I’ve manage to build and keep a physique I’m proud off and the health to go with it. Trust me, all that time I have searched for my “shortcuts” – how to get in shape fast. But not in the same way that most people do. I have never been tricked by the sleekly salespeople trying to sell me junk products, supplements and gimmicks because I realized right from the beginning that there’s no shortcuts and that I enjoyed the work and discipline needed to get the results I wanted. The only “shortcuts” I know of are correct training, nutrition and planning.
Odd as it may sound, I am still doing many of the things I did 10 years ago, the very same today – with great success. That’s because the basics work. But they do require that you work – sometimes hard and that you put some efforts into it if you truly want results.
Seriously – it’s not that complicated.
And just to be 100% clear, I didn’t “get lucky” nor “have good genes”. I worked. And I still work.
You have to get off the fitness gimmicks roller coaster, and spend some real time on your nutrition and training.
The cold hard truth about how to get in shape fast
Question: How many pills, fitness machines that promises 6 pack abs in just 1 minute a day, books etc. have you bought? How many of them delivered the desired results? How many months or years have you been trying to get a better body with this strategy?
How much further along would you be right now if you had stuck to a sound program designed to deliver results but demands some work on your part – instead of going down the “magic solution” rabbit hole?
It’s time to face the cold hard truth. Like anything else in life if something is worth having there’s a price you have to pay to get it. And it’s no different with having a strong, lean and healthy body.
The sooner that’s realized the better you’re off and on the road to greatness and how to get in shape fast.
