Lauren Conrad Diet Is Easy, Delicious & Healthy
If you want a healthy diet that will also help you lose weight, try the Lauren Conrad diet.
What is the Lauren Conrad diet?
The way that the 5-6 fashion designer and TV star eats is health-oriented. Her eating habits do not include meat, and it also shuns the kind of carbohydrates that are found in bread, white rice and pasta.
It needn’t be said that the Lauren Conrad diet very much restricts foods like candy, cake, brownies, pies, donuts and pancakes with syrup.
Does the Lauren Conrad diet sound boring at this point?
If you’re into heavy rich carbohydrate foods, the Lauren Conrad diet will be very difficult to stick to. If you love red meat, forget this plan, though you may want to consider eating fish, because this plan encourages plenty of it, and fish can be very delicious and is very healthy.
How many calories in the Lauren Conrad diet?
The six meals a day add up to 1,500 calories. Some women, especially athletic, will consider this too low. This is the TV star’s normal calorie range, so presumably, it’s quite satiating for her. I do wonder, though, if she has frequent hunger and just tunes it out.
Having a weekly “cheat day” really helps out when the rest of the days are only 1,500 calories. The Lauren Conrad diet does include a cheat day in which “bad” carbs are included. This means that maybe every Sunday, Lauren Conrad indulges in pancakes and syrup, with some bacon on the side, and maybe a bowl of ice cream later in the day. The other six days of lots of fish and vegetables offset this easily.
Normally, breakfast is coffee with skim milk, plus maybe a whole-grain waffle with a little peanut butter. Or, it may be a bowl of Kashi or oatmeal with skim milk. Lunch is a big salad of egg whites, turkey bacon, vegetables, avocado and balsamic dressing. Or, it might be a grilled chicken salad; a tuna salad; or a protein shake.
She’ll snack on a little cottage cheese and some almonds; or yogurt and a little bit of walnuts. Apples are also a favorite.
When she has dinner guests she’ll indulge in Mexican food, but I gather it’s just tiny amounts.
Dinner is 4-6 ounces of fish or chicken breast, plus roasted vegetables OR a salad. I’d like to see the Lauren Conrad diet take both the vegetables and the salad. One should not have to choose between two healthful side dishes.
