MY DEFENITION OF FITNESS

My definition of fitness is about being as healthy as you can be while pursuing a strong, (very) lean and toned or muscular body with the look that is perfect for YOU – the natural way!

I want to lead by example and be a rolemodel that practice what I preach. I realized a long time ago that I could not teach other people about fitness with any credibility if I could not do it myself.

This is the foundation behind Fortius Fitness and everything I teach here on the blog.

WHAT FITNESS IS NOT

Before I move on to how you can get started, I want to set some realistic expectations for you upfront:

1. Getting results in fitness is NOT easy and it takes a lot of hard work. Nothing in life comes easy, and especially when it comes to getting in great shape – the same holds true. None of the stuff I teach is an easy button, and although there are tons and tons of “gurus” and “experts” out there who will tell you something different (don’t worry, there are some good ones out there), they are saying those things just to make money from false hopes. I’m here to tell you that it’s not easy, it takes a lot of hard work, and most importantly it takes action, commitment and consistency. If someone is telling you otherwise please don’t fall for their sleek sales talk and advice. If it were easy then there wouldn’t be a need for a site like this. I may lose some readers when I say that it takes hard work – that’s okay, this site is not for people that are cutting corners and looking for a quick fix. This site is for serious people who want quality advice and are ready to do hard SMART work and take massive action. I’ll do my best to guide you and give you the information you need, but I can’t force you to take action – that’s up to you.

Don’t just learn…do.

2. Getting in outstanding shape does NOT happen overnight, and in some cases can take years. What I do and what I teach is not a get fit easy scheme, and before I got where I am today, it took years of hard work. I set high standard for myself. Maybe you don’t want to reach my level of fitness, and in that case you can reach your goals faster. But no matter what level of fitness you want to achieve, realize that it will take some time. Relatively speaking, you can get fit quick, but “quick” in the sense that it will take more than 2 minutes a day for a month. Maybe this is not what you want to hear and that is why there will always be products selling you “easy” fitness.
