There wouldn’t be a Paul Walker workout if the hot movie star didn’t have his chiseled physique; what are this guy’s secrets?

What is the Paul Walker workout?

The “Fast and the Furious” star definitely does strength training, though he puts most of his exercise time into the martial arts.

The mainstay of the Paul Walker workout is two hours a DAY of Brazilian jujitsu, followed then by one hour of Muay Thai kickboxing.

So though he’s not the biggest guy on the block, he could still kick your ass. All of this martial arts will keep body fat percentage low with sensible eating.

The Paul Walker workout, however, doesn’t include three hours daily of martial arts for aesthetic physique transformation. Martial arts are the movie star’s passion, so of course he spends lots of time training in these disciplines.

What about strength training in the Paul Walker workout?

Word has it that the star of “Eight Below” has a four-day split routine, meaning, he works only one muscle group a week, and this is spread over four workout sessions per week.

How effective is a four-day split? For a body like Paul Walker’s, it’s very effective if done intensely enough, since muscle groups are worked only once a week.

The Paul Walker workout will not get you the body that Hugh Jackman had in “X-men.”

The actor has reportedly stated that he includes sled pulls in his regimen. Pulling a sled will work just about every muscle in the body: a great compound exercise, but the problem is that most people don’t have access to pulling around a sled for exercise.

The movie star also does kettlebell work. Classic kettlebell moves are compound. The actor does bodyweight moves as well.

Though it’s been reported that he does a four-day split, he actually has stated, “My training is almost always circuits because I find my body responds better. It doesn’t take as long to recover afterwards compared with split body-part sessions.”

Whether or not he used to do splits, here’s something very interesting: The Paul Walker workout focuses on bodyweight compound movements that are natural, like squats, lunges and press-ups.

“How often do you find yourself flat on your back trying to press something up and away from you?” says the star. “Never, unless you’re on the bench press.” That’s quite an interesting concept, that natural moves are better than unnatural ones.

Ironically, Paul Walker has also stated, “My chest has always been a weak spot, but my shoulders are dominant.” Hmmm… here’s some advice to the buff actor if he wants a stronger chest: Bench press!

The Paul Walker workout begins with 15 minutes of cardio that starts with a slow jog, and morphs into “all-out sprints,” says the star. Sprinting should be done after weights, for better results so that you don’t head into weight training with fatigue. Better yet, do sprints on non-weight days.
